ASKED QUESTIONS
We understand that there are many questions about Drone usage and the problems that may be faced.
At Sorbrook Drone, we ensure that we have an up-to-date operator ID Registration for our Organisation. We currently only use drones under 250 grams and fly as per the guidance of the CAA and Drone Assist.
Generally, we will only operate our drones in dry weather when the wind speed is below 24mph. We will, however, risk assess all flights to ensure there is no risk. Ideal weather conditions are still, dry and bright. When booking drone services, you will need to allow for weather to if we can fly.
This is very much decided on a project-by-project basis. Minimal bookings start from £165, which will consist of a flight of no more than 1 hour from arrival on site to departure. After this, we will provide the footage with minimal video editing via a downloadable link.
Yes, we have specific drones which we use indoors and for FPV flight. This can be an extremely impressive flight, but will need extensive planning and people management. In some cases as the flight may break the Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) rule we may have to provide a spotter.
Yes, we are also registered with EASA, originally in Greece, but this allows for use in all countries in the European Union. Any future projects in Europe will be double-checked before departure to ensure that registration is correct.
In the UK we fly drones below the area that larger aircraft tend to fly. This 120m or 400ft from ground level.
Drones under 250 grams can be flown over people and property, but crowds are to be avoided.
Yes, we can optimise the drone footage to your particular project and also action changes in post through our video editing services. Sorbrook as a company, has been providing website and digital design services for over 15 years, so we hope you will feel that you are in safe hands.
