I Put the DJI Neo to the Test: Can you Vlog with it?
I purchased the DJI Neo at the end of June to add to my drone collection and to provide me with a smaller FPV option for my drone services.
The DJI Neo seems to be the most versatile drone on the market and it was origianlly made to be the easiest drone to to take selfie shots with and become a device for vloggers.
This was a portfolio project, so the client was not charged, and footage was provided to them for use in the media.
So Can the DJI Neo Vlog?
Basically, yes, it is incredibly flexible and reduces the kit you need to get out there and make a video. With just the drone, spare batteries, a mic, and a phone, I was able to film the whole vlog for the day.
I’m not going to say there were no problems as there were a few. Firstly if you use the DJI Mic 2 you need to check robustly to make sure it is connected, as it did switch back to the iPhone for the mic.
Also, the DJI Neo does sometimes refuse to land, so please be a little more patient than me as I managed to take a little bit of skin off my finger when trying to grab the drone when it did not do what I expected it to.
